Probably our most infectious and joyful dance yet! Dynamic combinations come together to create this liberating dance with a Bollywood flavour. Full of the joys of life and passion in every step!

Valerie Herron

Valerie met Sitara at The Emerging Journey show at the Towngate Theatre in august 2007. She has been learning belly dance ever since and has been merging her belly dance skills with her ongoing gymnastic training to create unique and stunning performances that require great strength, flexibility and balance. Valerie will be performing a lyrical ribbon piece inspired by dances of the Far East and fusing rhythmic gymnastics, Chinese dance and belly dance together.

Spanish Zambra Gypsy Dance 2 by the Basildon students

An upbeat and playful choreography danced in full skirts to add drama to the dance. This dance is performed pairs with spirit attitude and plenty of skirt swirling technique. Sensual yet flirtatiously bold.

Fast and Furious Duet by Shella and Sitara

Created by Hossam Ramzy this is a six minute complex high energy drum solo that will leave even the audience exhausted!

Hot or Not by Shella & Shirley-Anne
Hot or Not by Shella & Shirely-Anne;
A Caribbean/African belly dance fusion mainly choreographed by Sharfeek Ibrahim with a little of their own thrown in for good measure. Attitude is all their own! Shella has been dancing with Sitara as a member of the Eastern Roses since 2003 while Shirley-Anne has been attending classes with Sitara in Chelmsford since 2005.

Sitara Shella & Alix Tribal Fusion

 

A mesmerising and earthy tribal dance with a touch of mystery performed by Sitara Shella and Alix.

Lyndsey and Roberta

Lyndsey and Roberta will be a performing a beautiful new veil dance duet inspired by Aziza. Full of mystery, enraptured by emotion, intoxicating music this beautiful dance will take you on a journey into the magic of the past. Lyndsey and Roberta have been attending classes with Sitara for over two years and are accomplished and experienced performers. We are delighted to announce that they have now become a part of The Eastern Roses Dance Troupe.
