Sitara and The Desert Rose dancers perform to raise money in aid of the Tsunami disaster.

April 2004 Sitara and her dancers braved the cold weather to welcome the arrival of the Palm Trees in Hamlet Court Road
January 2004 Article published in Mosaic magazine of Sitaras float and dancers at the Southend carnival. The magazine also featured a photo of Sitara holding her new baby son Aaron. Sitara had continued teaching up to her eighth month of pregnancy. She returned to performing just weeks after giving birth and claims that bellydancing does wonders for pregnancy and childbirth.
September 2003 Sitara and ladies from her classes greets the Mayor with a performance! Turned out to be a beautiful day! Sitara was then interviewed by Essex EM about the benefits of bellydance.
August 2003 Carnival Fever

Southend–on–Sea was treated to a spectacular belly dance float featuring drapes, a sultan’s throne, and palm trees. It was accompanied by W of Sitara’s colourful dancers who danced the miles of the seafront with sheer dedication and enthusiasm to entertain the thousands of onlookers,

October 2002 Sitara played a belly dance part in a period drama for a BBC Production. The set was an authentic middle- eastern setting and the costuming was traditional. It was later released as a weekly drama series on the BBC's Blue Peter.
