Shimmy-Licious is Almost Here!!
Shimmy-Licious is our end of year Sitara Dance showcase with invited guest groups and Eastern Roses performances! It has a beautiful Arabian setting of camels, palm trees, pyramids and drapes. There is plenty of seating for everyone.Some light snacks will be provided for the tables but freel free to bring along some extra nibbles to share with your group. Drinks will need to be purchased from the venue bar due to their licencing rules.
You will be treated to a night of captivating performances. There will be a huge variety of different belly dance styles and really is there is something for everyone.

Expect exhilarating choreography, gorgeous costumes, breath taking performances and an evening that you will never forget!
PERFORMERS
Performance slots are by invite only and include Eastern Roses and Sitara Dance students, as well as guest groups from the local and surrounding areas.

Our stunning Star Performers will be amazing professional dancers from the TASTE OF BRAZIL Samba Group who will leave you spellbound with their amazing and energetic show!

ROSIE & BENAZIR
​
Benazir are based in Harold Hill and the group is run by Rosie Flint
​
Benazir have been performing their eclectic mix of dances in and around the area for many years. Rosie’s performances are always extremely creative, unique, inspiring and very entertaining indeed!
Rosie’s students always enjoy getting into character and embrace the costuming and aspect that goes with each dance that she creates! With such a diverse range of themed performances you never know what she is going to come up with next! Benazir will always leave the audience smiling!

They will perform two dances at Shimmy-Licous.
BELLYDANZA
​
The group is run by Lorriane Pendleton and she has groups in Sudbury and Earls Colne. Bellydanza’s performances are entertaining and full of joy. Expect beautiful costumes, plenty of smiles and glamour and well thought out choreographies that are an absolute joy to watch.
Karen is an experienced professional performer and is also a part of the Bellydanza group and will be performing a Drum solo in part 3 of our show.
MYSTIC BELLYDANCE
​
Mystic Bellydance is run by Leanne-Carrington Payne. They are based in Suffolk. The group was formed from a love of bellydance in all its forms and the group today incorporates traditional dance through to fusion styles. Embracing the bellydance community in general, but especially in East Anglia the group support events across the region and have performed in Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk. They have previously performed stunning and sensational dances at Shimmy-Licous. No doubt we will be in for a real treat!
CANDAN FIKRI
​
Candan is a Turkish dancer who has performed all over the UK, Europe and the Middle East. She has worked with many renowned teachers from the world of Bellydance, studying all aspects of the art.
Her first love and personal specialities are the Romani and Oryantal styles, reflecting the cultural influences of her Turkish roots.
​
She divides her time between Northern Cyprus and the UK.
She recently moved to the beautiful estuary town of Legih-On-Sea where she may be spotted sometimes, in the early morning, walking her beloved dogs along the local beaches, happily practicing her steps to the sound of the sea.
LIGHT OF THE NILE​
We are delighted to confirm that these wonderful and talented ladies Light of the Nile will perform 2 dances in our Shimmy-Licious show. Their performances are always well polished, inspiring and very entertaining.

The group is run by Nicola Snow who will also perform a Solo.
