Shimmy-Licious is Progressing!!
Shimmy-Licious is our end of year Sitara Dance showcase with invited guest groups and Eastern Roses performances! It has a beautiful Arabian setting of camels, palm trees, pyramids and drapes. There is plenty of seating for everyone.Some light snacks will be provided for the tables but freel free to bring along some extra nibbles to share with your group. Drinks will need to be purchased from the venue bar due to their licencing rules.
You will be treated to a night of captivating performances. There will be a huge variety of different belly dance styles and really is there is something for everyone.
Expect exhilarating choreography, gorgeous costumes, breath taking performances and an evening that you will never forget!
PERFORMERS
Performance slots are by invite only and include Eastern Roses and Sitara Dance students, as well as guest groups from the local and surrounding areas.

LIGHT OF THE NILE
Light of the Nile are based in Suffolk and the group is run by Nicola Snow. We are delighted to confirm that these wonderful and talented ladies of Light of the Nile will perform 2 dances in our Shimmy-Licious 2024 show. Their performances are always beautifully creative, always polished and full of feeling and emotion. They will be mesmerising the audience with a very special group performance this year.
ROSIE & BENAZIR
Benazir are based in Harold Hill and the group is run by Rosie Flint. Benazir have been performing their eclectic mix of dances in and around the area for many years. Rosie’s performances are always extremely creative, unique, inspiring and very entertaining indeed!
Rosie’s students always enjoy getting into character and embrace the costuming and aspect that goes with each dance that she creates! With such a diverse range of themed performances you never know what she is going to come up with next! Benazir will always leave the audience smiling!
They will perform two dances at Shimmy-Licious.
MYSTIC BELLYDANCE
Mystic Bellydance is run by Leanne-Carrington Payne. They are based in Suffolk. The group was formed from a love of bellydance in all its forms and the group today incorporates traditional dance through to fusion styles. Embracing the bellydance community in general, but especially in East Anglia the group support events across the region and have performed in Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk. They have previously performed stunning and sensational dances at Shimmy-Licious. Expect to be enchanted by their polished and beautiful performances.
DENIZ & FRAGRANCE OF THE EAST
Deniz is a Bellydance Teacher based in Southend-on-Sea, Essex. She will be performing two dances with her Troupe Fragrance of the East.
Deniz dances with the Sword, on Glasses; with Zills, Sticks and Veils and using Cabaret and Tribal styles - always giving a professional, entertaining and memorable performance.
